Hard idea. One clear motion.

Educational animation & video production for math, physics and STEM

Custom visual explanations for course creators, publishers, edtech teams and universities — built by a system designed to make technical ideas move clearly, not just look polished.

Selected work

See the mechanism before reading the pitch.

These are Math Aha production studies, not client case studies. They show the range already running through the internal video engine.

Selected work

Removable discontinuity

Make the missing point and the nearby behavior impossible to confuse.

Selected work

Roots of unity

Turn an algebraic condition into a geometric mechanism.

Selected work

Area under 1/x

Use motion and area to make a constant feel earned rather than memorized.

Selected work

Matrix transformation

Show a transformation acting on space instead of presenting a block of numbers.

Selected work

Three-body motion

Use a moving system to reveal behavior that a static diagram cannot carry.

Selected work

Polar curves

Build visual range without losing a coherent mathematical language.

What we make

Animation that has a teaching job.

We scope the visual around the idea the viewer must understand, not around a generic motion-graphics style.

01

Concept explainers

One difficult idea, one visual mechanism, one clear payoff.

02

Course inserts

Short animations that slot into lessons without forcing you to rebuild the course.

03

Proof & theorem visuals

Geometry, calculus and algebra where every moving relationship has to stay mathematically valid.

04

Scientific & 3D scenes

Motion, fields, systems and spatial ideas that need more than flat icons.

05

Short-form educational cuts

Platform-native pacing for social discovery without throwing away conceptual accuracy.

06

Reusable visual systems

A coherent family of scenes for a course, curriculum or recurring content series.

Who it is for

For teams with a subject to teach and no reason to become an animation studio.

Course creators

Replace the “imagine this…” paragraph with something learners can actually see.

Publishers & curriculum teams

Turn static figures, diagrams and proofs into reusable digital teaching assets.

Edtech teams

Add original visual explanations to a product without building a specialist animation pipeline in-house.

Universities & educators

Create lecture, lesson and outreach visuals for technical subjects.

Why Math Aha

Not a generic animation agency. Not a prompt-to-video button.

f′

The subject is part of the craft.

Technical visuals are checked as explanations, not decorated after the fact. The geometry, notation and motion have to agree.

One visual language can scale.

The internal engine lets a strong mechanism become a reusable family instead of six unrelated one-off clips.

0→Aha

Built for attention as well as accuracy.

The same system produces platform-native educational shorts, so pacing, reveal and visual hierarchy are production constraints from the start.

Process

A small approval surface for you.

You should spend your time checking the idea, not managing keyframes.

  1. 1

    Brief

Send the topic, audience, usage and any source material. A focused project can start from a short written brief.

  2. 2

    Visual spec

We choose the mechanism, storyboard the important beats and lock what must be technically correct.

  3. 3

    Animation + review

You review the teaching logic and visual result. Standard custom work includes two revision rounds.

  4. 4

    Delivery

Receive the agreed masters and derivatives, with usage terms documented before handoff.

Deliverables

Built once, delivered for the places you actually publish.

  • 16:9 master for courses, YouTube or presentation
  • Vertical / square derivatives when scoped
  • 4K or HD delivery depending on the project
  • Captions/subtitles and clean no-CTA versions
  • Stills or selected transparent assets when useful
  • MP4 delivery for LMS use; your LMS wraps SCORM/xAPI
Current validation pricing

Custom projects typically start around $1,200.

A smaller template-assisted paid pilot can be scoped around $350–600 when the brief fits an existing visual system. Bespoke 60–90s concept work is commonly scoped around $1,200–2,500. Series and technically heavy 3D work are quoted as projects.

Usage & licensing

Scope the rights before production, not after delivery.

Course & classroom

Use inside paid or free courses, lectures and teaching systems as agreed in the project licence.

Publisher & product

Digital publication, product and commercial distribution can be scoped explicitly.

Social & marketing

Derivative cuts can be licensed for organic platform use or broader campaigns when required.

Exclusivity & source

Exclusivity and source/spec handoff are separate scope items because they change reuse rights and production economics.

FAQ

Questions that usually matter before the first call.

Do you make live-action educational videos?

No. Math Aha focuses on animation, computational visuals, diagrams and 2D/3D explanatory motion.

Can you work from our script?

Yes. We can animate an approved script, or help turn a subject brief into a visual storyboard before production.

What do custom projects usually cost?

Custom concept projects currently tend to start around $1,200. Smaller template-assisted paid pilots can be scoped lower when the brief fits an existing visual system.

How long does a project take?

A focused concept animation is usually scoped in weeks, not months. Timing depends on complexity, approvals and revision rounds; the quote confirms the actual schedule.

Can we use the video in a paid course or product?

Yes. Course, publisher, product and commercial usage can be included in the project licence and agreed before production starts.

Do you support SCORM or xAPI?

We deliver video and visual assets such as MP4 files; your LMS can wrap those assets inside its SCORM or xAPI package. We do not currently sell a standalone LMS authoring layer.

Send the concept, not a giant production document.

Four fields are enough to tell whether the project fits. Budget and organisation are optional. We take a limited number of custom projects while the service is being validated.
